The Love you deserve

I have always loved, love.

Everything about it. Seeing how someone lights up in the presence of love is one of those this is why we’re here kind of moments. It’s a moment that makes you quietly appreciate your existence, it’s a gentle reminder that your existence is proof that love lived.

I’ve had my fair share of heartbreaks but yet none of them can convince me that love isn’t the most beautiful gift we have, and the most beautiful gift we can give.

It wasn’t always easy to believe that. I’ve had moments in my journey where due to the said heartbreak I questioned the purpose of love. When you’re not loved correctly it’s easy to fall into the trap of believing it’s love’s fault. I carry every version of myself the one that loved, and the one that was heartbroken both versions are happy and proud for trying. Both versions exist without regret, knowing and certain that the love I gave was the greatest gift I could ever give, blind to whether it was deserving or non-deserving it wasn’t for love to decide and it never will be.

Love in it’s purest form, to me is a love that can co-exist with heartbreak. Love in it’s purest form can still exist even without the presence of the giver. I had to learn that even if it isn’t forever it can still be beautiful, it can still be love. There is a kind of love that stays, and there is a kind of love that leaves, and I hope you are able to see the beauty in both.

It took me a while to dissociate love with permanence, some love will be permanent, but sometimes love is momentary and that’s okay. Sometimes the love someone can give can only exist in memory, and if it does I hope that memory brings you peace in knowing that it didn’t have to be forever to be beautiful.

The love you deserve is still, calm, pure, innocent, gentle, sweet, refreshing, nourishing and it will find you whether it’s momentarily or forever. It may come to teach, it may come to stay. It might hold you for long enough to show you something about who you are or who you’re meant to be and then let you go not always gently but meaningfully.

Through all the ways that love exists and shows up in your life, I hope you never stop giving your love and I hope you never close your heart to receiving it.

You deserve all the love.

With all my love.
